1. What types of counseling does the Center offer?

The Renaissance Center provides counseling to Individuals, Couples, Families and Groups in the areas of Substance Abuse, Domestic Violence, Crisis Intervention, Youth and Family Counseling, in addition to Personal Spiritual Growth and Development, as well as Pre-Marital Counseling.

2. Does the Center accept insurance?

The Center does accept some forms of Medical Assistance, Carefirst/ BlueCross/BlueShield, Aetna, and Magellan customers.

3. What is the time length of a session?

A session is 50 minutes in length.

4. Is there a psychiatrist on staff?

There is no psychiatrist on the premises; however the Center can refer you to a psychiatrist.

5. Is the Center able to dispense medication?

The Center does not dispense medication, but referrals are made for patients who may need medication dispensed.

6. Can a patient have individual counseling and marital with the same counselor?

No. For confidentiality and ethical reasons, the patient will be counseled by a different clinician.

7. Does the Center provide counseling for children?

Yes. Our services are available to individuals of all ages. Therapists are able to service children for a wide range of issues such as Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism, Peer Pressure just to name a few.

8. What are the credentials of the therapist?

The Staff is made up of licensed professional counselors, Social Workers and Rehabilitation Counselors, and Master’s Level Counselors/Social Workers.

9. Is the Center open Saturday and Sunday?

The Center is open on the 1st and 3rd Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; The Center is closed on Sundays.

10. Will the information I share be released to other therapists?

No. For the protection of our clients, it is our policy not to release the name of, or information about any client without written permission from that client, as required by law. If you have questions about confidentiality, please ask your therapist.
